Green Climate Fund (GCF)
National Authorized Authority (NAA)
The National Authorized Authority (NAA) in Kyrgyzstan is the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic (MNERTS).
- The role of the NAA: to represent the interests of Kyrgyzstan in the GCF (Green Climate Fund), to ensure transparency in the approval and selection process of project applications.
- The coordination and technical support of the work of the NAA is carried out by the Climate Finance Center (CFC). The CFC performs the functions of a coordination center for interaction with the GCF.

The GEF provides grants and co-financing for projects in developing countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
Adaptation Fund (AF)
Its purpose is to provide assistance to developing countries that are most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. support countries.
The Fund finances specific projects and programs aimed at adapting to climate risks: floods, droughts, melting glaciers, sea level rise and other threats.
The Fund's feature is the direct access mechanism (механизм производство доступ), which allows national and regional organizations in beneficiary countries to independently receive funds and implement projects without intermediaries.
Since its inception, the Fund has financed more than a hundred initiatives around the world, helping millions of people to increase their resilience to climate change.
